Review: Magic Wand Rechargeable

One might say that I am a little late to the party with this review. There are many a blogger who already sings the praises of the Magic Wand Rechargeable. While up until now, I had held one in my hands for a few moments. I knew I needed to experience it. To know how it worked for me and my body. If I enjoyed it over the Original Magic Wand which has been my tried and true for years now. So I felt very lucky when Mindful offered me a chance to review it for them.

Magic Wand Rechargeable

Other than being rechargeable and having the ability to go cordless with the Magic wand Rechargeable. What other differences does it have to the Magic Wand Original? Let’s look at the stats that differ between the two wands.

Magic Wand Original

Magic Wand Rechargeable

  • Power source: 110 – 120 volts
  • Two speeds: ca. 6,000 / 5,000 vibrations per minute.
  • Weight: 1.2 lbs.
  • Dimensions: approx. 12” (length), 2 1/4” (head diameter)
  • Cord length: 6 foot

  • Power source: 100 – 240V
  • Four speeds: approx. 2,700 / 3,800 / 5,400 / 6,300 vibrations per minute
  • 4 Pattern Settings
  • Weight: 1.3 lbs.
  • Dimensions: approx. 13” (length), 2.4” (head diameter)
  • Cord length: 6 foot

As you see, there a small differences but they are notable. From the MWR having a slightly higher vibration speed. To it having also much lower speeds. Compared to the MWO which only has 2 speeds being high and low. The Rechargeable also has 4 pattern settings as well. And is the only wand of the ones that are made that does have pattern settings. It is also oddly an ounce heavier than the Orginal which surprised me. Also while it is rechargeable and can be used cordless, you can use it while it is still plugged in.

So What Did I Think?

Right away two things stuck out to me when I first held my Magic Wand Rechargeable in my hand. The first being the smooth head made of silicone. My old MWO at this point the texture stands out. The head while cleaned regularly and often used with a cap of some kind is discolored. The edges a little sleeker which gave it more of a corner that I could use for more pinpoint stimulation.

The second was the length! The extra reach meant being able to lay back and be more comfortable. Though it also meant I could reach spots that I had not been able to before. It was a game-changer! While I could, of course, use it to stimulate my clit. I was able to reach toys that I using anally and stimulate that with the wand.

I even took the time to test it out with attachments like my Pop Top Nubby Purple and G-Spot attachments. Let me say it breathed some new life into them. For the Nubby Purple, the extra size for the head allowed more of an edge. I could feel the nubs against my skin. The added power with the G-spot attachment allowed for a much deeper orgasm than before. I was pleased!

Lets Talk Patterns

Patterns are unique to the Magic Wand Rechargeable. Along with the 4 speeds, it has 4 patterns. At first, I put off using them. Patterns on vibrators have always been a tease, rather than a warm-up. For me, it was something about the power backing up the patterns that I found them honestly enjoyable. Being able to switch between a steady vibration and the patterns allowed me to extend my orgasm. Finding them also perfect for when I wanted to edge myself.

Remember, not just for orgasms!

My Magic Wand Rechargeable has also come in handy for me during a very trying allergy season. Using it to ease sinus pains before they can turn into migraines. As well as running it over places like my hands to work out pains from carpal tunnel.1 And it was a reminder that while it is used for sexual pleasure, that it was not always the original use!

Overall Thoughts

The Magic Wand is iconic, and the rechargeable version is by far my favorite. Will I get rid of my Original? No, it still has a place in my life. But I feel like the Rechargeable will be the one I reach for often for ease of use.

Which of the Magic Wands is your favorite? Have you used them or are you still on the fence? Let me know in the comments below.
