Review: Shibari Halo

Review: Shibari Halo

It is not a secret with my blog name that I am a fan of wand toys. However the more frills you want, it often is that the more you end up paying. Or, while you do have those options you lose out on things like power. Really what I wanted to do was start to really find what was the best of the under $100 options there were when it came to wand toys.

The Shibari Halo, however, caught my attention. Wireless, rechargeable, and waterproof. While I can easily read the numbers when it comes to its power I have never found one wand vibe to be like another. The power levels can be the same or close, but design helps in how it spreads through the toy.

Upon taking it out of the package, I liked the way the Shibari Halo felt in my hand. It wasn’t too heavy or bulky. The tapered plastic handle allowed me ample places to hold it. I find the spot where the plastic and silicone meet to be the best place to have just a little grip. I was also very happy to see how the silicone covered not only the head of the toy but past the neck. It makes it much easier to clean it without having to worry about missing spots. The charge port was also just as it said, very waterproof. It is the kind that you have to press the cord into it, in order to open the small hole.

On the first charge, it only took about an hour likely due to it still having charge left from testing where it is made. The wand on a normal day if you let it get drained, can take about 3 hours. However, I find that it allows you to have about 3 hours of play depending on how much you are using it. 3 hours is something I can stretch for days depending on what kind of sessions I am having.

Baby, I can feel your Halo

Speaking of sessions, during play I actually really liked the power that it had. The broadhead allowed the vibration to spread out over my labia. Though I could also still get it against my clit for when I wanted to feel the intensity. It wasn’t as powerful as other wands I have used in the past but I would say it is a nice mid-range. Not as intense as say the Magic Wand but not as soft as the Tantus Rumble.

The 10x Mulit-Speed it boasts is what I find to be a little misleading. It is just high, low, and then eight vibration patterns. I would have really liked maybe a few more speeds between high and low, the patterns show that it could be done. If they ever redid this toy or made a new wand, I would be very happy with that option. Let me build up to that higher speed. It will actually let me use the toy longer than just going from 0 to 60.

The risk that I’m taking

One of the biggest worries for me was the button. Half the time during my use where I wanted to put my hand was often where the power button would be. Because of its raised design, the smallest brush and it would go up a function. My options at that point were to either turn it off or cycle through. Both of which when you are in the middle of thinking about anything else, is really unfortunate.

The other worry, travel. There is no way to lock it. Because the button is so sensitive it has rolled off my bed and turned on. This would mean that if it was stored in a bag it had the high chance of doing the same thing. Now I was able to double wrap it in a very long sock which kept it from turning on during a 6-hour bus ride.2. Nor during the time I was going from place to place during my travels.

Overall Thoughts 3

The Shibari Halo is a good wand, but it certainly is not the best. There are some slight design issues that I was able to work around once I got a feel for using the toy. It worked for me however as a larger female-bodied individual which is one of the main things I do test. The Shibari Halo is a great wand for someone on a budget who really doesn’t want to deal with cord and likes a toy that is easy to clean.

At just over 50 dollars ($54.99 at Shevibe)[Note]At the time of this posting.[/note] it falls into being affordable without breaking the bank. It also comes in not only the purple and pink colors I have photographed but also black as well.

Thank you to Shevibe for sending me the Shibari Halo in exchange for this unbiased and honest review.
